One of the missing Evansdale girls’ parents was back in Black Hawk county court Friday morning.

Dan Morrissey, father of Lyric Cook, attended a pre-trial hearing Friday.  He faces several charges from separate incidents last year, including domestic abuse while displaying a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of meth making materials.

Friday morning the judge agreed to push back his trial by 30 days.

The request was granted after Morrissey’s lawyer said he was not able to focus due to his missing daughter.

Morrissey had this message for his daughter, “Lyric if you’re out there, I love you baby. I just pray, I just pray that you’re ok.”

Both Lyric Cook and her cousin Elizabeth Collins disappeared from Evansdale on July 13th.

Authorities are treating the case as an abduction.
