BALCONY FALL: Police Release Man’s Name

Ames Police have released the name of a man who fell from a 5^th story balcony early Sunday morning.

Police say 19-year-old Christian McKee of Ames climbed over a 5^th floor balcony railing at the Legacy Apartments at 119 Stanton Avenue just after 1:30 a.m. Witnesses say it appeared McKee was alone when he fell from the ledge, into a construction area next door.

McKee suffered serious injuries in the fall and was taken by air ambulance to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
