UNI SEARCH: Search Committee Being Built

The Board of Regents, State of Iowa approved the creation of a search and screen committee Monday to find a new president for the University of Iowa. 

Among the members will be three representatives of the public. 

The board is soliciting nominees to fill those three slots.  You are invited to submit your name, contact information and a brief summary (250 words or less) of what you believe your qualifications are for serving on the committee. 

Ben Allen, who began his duties as president in June of 2006, says he’ll retire by July 1, 2012.

Nominations are due Wednesday, September 5^th.
