EMERGENCY LANDING: Plane Lands On Highway
A Washington state pilot is safe after being forced to land his plane on an Iowa highway Thursday morning.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says the man was flying to an antique air show inBlakesburg, Iowa in an antique biplane when the plane experienced engine failure. The pilot landed the plane on Iowa Highway 5 and 92 about a half mile west of Highway 14 around 10:24 a.m.
A passenger in the plane was also uninjured and there was no damage to the plane.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident.
