ELECTION 2012: King And Vilsack Square Off
The two candidates for Iowa’s newly drawn fourth district squared off in their first debate Thursday night.
Congressman Steve King is seeking a sixth term in congress. He’s being challenged by former Iowa First Lady Christie Vilsack.
In the one hour debate broadcast on WHO radio, the pair clashed on issues like balancing the budget, passing the farm bill and the merits of the federal food aide program.
King and Vilsack will debate again Saturday at the Clay County Fair.
