RED BULLS: Guardsmen Recieve Award

An Iowa National Guard Unit has received a prestigious award.

The Red Bulls Unit left for a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan in July of 2010.

They were part of the largest Iowa deployment since World War II.

Wednesday, the Department of Defense honored the Red Bulls with their Citizen Patriot Award.

The Director of the Army National Guard says, “the unit distinguished itself and made substantial contributions to the security and defense of the nation.”
