The Waukee school board will vote Monday night on a facilities issue to keep up with student enrollment.

The board will vote on whether to renovate a facility built in 1917. District leaders want to use $2 million on improvements to windows, adding new lockers, and installing updates such as an elevator.

The district says the project wouldn’t raise property taxes.

If approved, the building would relieve Maple Grove and Brookview elementary schools, which are both dealing with larger class sizes.
