CLERK SHOT: Kum & Go Employee Injured

West Des Moines police are investigating the shooting of a convenience store clerk.

Police say they were called to the Kum & Go at 5969 Ashworth Road just after 10:30 Monday night after a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found 34-year-old Joshua Pugh, a Kum & Go employee, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center with appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Police are working to identify the person responsible for the shooting. They say it doesn’t look like the shooting was related to a robbery attempt.
