INDIANOLA ATTORNEY: Misconduct Investigation

Indianola’s longtime city attorney is under investigation.

John Hoyman was suspended from his duties at the end of August pending the results of the investigation. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says it is looking into allegations of official misconduct, but would not go into further detail. 

Hoyman tells Channel 13 he is confident the DCI will conduct a thorough investigation and he is anxious to get back to work.

He has served as city attorney for 26 years.
