CYCLIST DEATH: Suspect Enters Not Guilty Plea
An Adel man charged with hitting and killing a Dallas Center cyclist has entered a not guilty plea.
Thirty-one-year-old Troy Wanninger allegedly hit 67-year-old Edward Giedraitis on May 19th. Giedraitis was riding his bike on 270th Street near Dallas Center.
Authorities investigated for weeks before charging Wanninger in late July. He faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and possession of marijuana.
Wanninger has waived his right to a speedy trial. The trial is currently set for December 10th.
