AFTERNOON ACCIDENT: One Transported By Air

An afternoon crash just east of Pleasant Hill sent two people to the hospital Friday.

Authorities say a dark gray car was trying to cross University Avenue around 1:00.  The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the driver pulled out in front of a light colored, eastbound car.

The driver of the darker car was taken by air ambulance to the hospital.  The other driver was taken by ground ambulance.

The names and the conditions of the drivers haven’t been released.  The crash remains under investigation.
