DRUG DEATHS: Court Date Set For Doctor
A Des Moines doctor facing manslaughter charges will be back in court October 9th.
Dr. Daniel Baldi was originally scheduled for a preliminary hearing Friday. Baldi’s attorney wanted more time to gather evidence for the hearing so it was postponed.
Baldi is charged with eight counts of involuntary manslaughter. He is accused of prescribing fatal doses of drugs to his patients.
Baldi ran the Iowa Health Systems Pain Clinic.
The company closed the clinic back in June.
