CLASS OF ’52: Ames High Classmates Reunite
A group of central Iowa natives reminisced about the good old days this weekend.
Ames High School’s class of 1952 celebrated its 60th reunion.
The city has changed quite a bit in the past six decades, so the group chartered a bus to see how Ames has grown.
The Class of ‘52 had 151 graduates. One-hundred of them are still alive and 51 attended this latest reunion.
Jim Triplett says even after 60 years some things don’t change when it comes to a reunion.
“I don’t think friends ever change…they may get a little older, a little decrepit, they still have the same spirits they act the same and we talk about the same things we did 40-50 years ago,” says Triplett.
Triplett says while some people may not like going to a high school reunion, he says you should. He says it’s a great way to reconnect.
