FAMOUS FOOD: Discovery Channel In The Metro

A Discovery Channel show crosses the nation to find the best, meaty meal.  And this week its camera crews are the metro.

Tuesday, the “United States of Food” show arrived at Jethros BBQ -n- Jambalaya in Waukee. 

It focused on the all-pork burger called “The Jethro”.  It has pork tenderloin, pulled pork, ham and four slices of bacon.

The camera crew work isn’t done yet.  Wednesday, the show is headed to Zombie Burger and Drink Lab in the East Village.

The star attraction there is “The Walking Ched”.  It’s a burger with a breaded and deep-fried macaroni and cheese, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, raw onions and mayo.

Camera crews are expected to be there most of the day.
