ESCAPEE CAUGHT: Iowa Inmate Found In Missouri
An Iowa prison inmate who escaped from a work detail in Keokuk has been apprehended in Missouri.
Steven Adcock was assigned to a minimum security unit at Fort Madison and escaped Monday while working. Officials say Adcock was serving a 16 year sentence for burglary, theft, eluding, and drug possession.
The offenses are from Johnson, Clayton, Muscatine, and Polk counties. His sentence began January 24th, 2001.
Adcock was caught Wednesday driving a stolen vehicle from Kansas City, Missouri following a short chase. He is being held in the Stoddard County Jail and is scheduled to be in court Thursday for extradition proceedings.
