JUDGE RULING: Disabled Workers Must Be Repaid

An Iowa judge is ordering a Texas company to repay 32 disabled workers for unfair wages.

It’s been three years since the men were removed from a run-down Atalissa bunk house. The men worked for Henry’s Turkey Service in nearby West Liberty.

Reports show the men were only paid $65 per month for full-time work after Henry’s improperly charged them for lodging and other expenses.

The judge ruled the company must pay $1.37 million in back pay.
