FOOD FESTIVAL: Weekend World Food Festival

Downtown Des Moines is preparing for the 8^th Annual World Food Festival in Des Moines. 

The event begins Friday morning in the East Village.  There are more than 35 vendors, including nine newbies to the festival.  They are offering tastes from around the world.

You can try several of the items for just a dollar, or get an entire helping.

There are also more than 30 international and local beers and wine options.

The event is free and it runs from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
