LOTTERY LUCK: Another $1 Million Ticket Sold
A Des Moines south side grocery store sold a Powerball ticket worth $1 million in the latest drawing.
The ticket was sold at the Dahl’s at 4121 Fleur Drive and matched all five regular numbers but missed the Powerball. It’s the second $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Iowa in September. The Iowa Lottery says it’s the eighth ticket sold in the state this year that won a prize of $1 million or more.
“We haven’t had anyone come in yet,” said Casey Drake, manager at Dahl’s. “We sell so many lottery tickets to so many people; it’s hard to guess who it might be.”
Nobody won the jackpot in Wednesday’s drawing so the jackpot will increase to an estimated $174 million for Saturday’s drawing.
Wednesday’s winning numbers were 1-5-8-39-50 with a Powerball of 23.
