MOTHER ARRESTED: Woman Arrested For Trying To Kill Child Twice

Authorities say a mother is facing charges after trying to kill her child twice.

Police arrested 23-year-old Kristina Kennedy-Maroney Wednesday in Centerville.  She is charged with 2 counts of attempted murder and 2 charges of child endangerment.

Officials say Kennedy-Maroney admitted to two different attempts; one involved holding the then six-month-old’s head under water for 3 seconds.

In another incident, Kennedy-Maroney allegedly held a pillow over the baby’s face for 10 seconds.

Kennedy-Maroney told investigators she tried to kill the child because it wouldn’t stop crying and her Fiance wouldn’t help her with the baby.
