MURDER ARREST: Suspect Caught In Des Moines
An Illinois murder suspect was arrested in Des Moines earlier this week.
The Des Moines Police Department says Durando O. Eskridge was wanted by Joliet, Illinois police as a possible suspect in a murder investigation. Working with them, Des Moines police obtained an arrest warrant for Eskridge.
U.S. Marshals assisted Des Moines police Tuesday in the arrest of Eskridge on a first degree murder warrant. He was located at 1052 13th in Des Moines and was taken into custody without incident.
Police say crack cocaine was located during the arrest and Eskridge faces additional drug charges. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, manufacturing a controlled substance and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
Eskridge is being held in the Polk County Jail awaiting extradition to Illinois.
