PITMAN SENTENCING: Life In Prison For Mother’s Murder
A southwest Iowa man will spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering his mother.
Twenty-four-year-old Adam Pitman was sentenced Monday. He was convicted of first degree murder in July for killing 46-year-old Rosa Pitman.
Pitman lived in Keokuk with his mother at the time of the murder.
The Daily Gate City reports Pitman expressed regret during his sentencing and said he was “truly, 100% sorry” for killing his mother.
In Iowa, life in prison is the mandatory sentence for convictions of first degree murder.
