ROUTE CHANGE: Ramp Closure Begins Friday Night

Starting Friday night, some metro drivers could run into a major detour.

Iowa Department of Transportation crews are closing the eastbound I-80 to northbound 35-80 exit ramp over Interstate 35 at 8:00 p.m. Friday.

The ramp will be closed all weekend and will re-open at 6:00 a.m. Monday.

The DOT says drivers should follow the marked detour to get around the construction.
