LOVE STORY: Spotlight On Injured Sailor And Girlfriend

A Cedar Falls sailor who lost his limbs during an attack in Afghanistan was on the Today Show Monday morning.

Petty Officer, Taylor Morris was seriously wounded last May. He is now at Walter Reed Medical Center for rehabilitation.

Morris and his long-time girlfriend, Danielle Kelly, were both on the Today Show, talking about their love story while overcoming wartime injuries. Their story went viral after a Buzzfeed contributor put together a post titled A Love Story In 22 Pictures.

Morris and Kelly returned to Iowa last month for the first time together.

Morris has been awarded both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his service and sacrifice in battle.
