First Lady Michelle Obama will be back in Iowa this week on familiar stomping grounds.

She will campaign for her husband at an event in the University of Northern Iowa’s McLeod Center on Friday afternoon.

Mrs. Obama is expected to talk about what is at stake for Iowans in this election and promote voter registration.

She should be familiar with the campus. In May, the First Lady delivered the commencement address for the Class of 2011 at UNI.

The campaign event is free and open to the public but tickets are required. The tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at UNI’s Maucker Union and Obama campaign offices in Cedar Falls and Waterloo.
