CHANGE OF VENUE: Father Of Missing Girl Denied New Venue

A judge has denied a change of venue request for the father of a missing Evansdale girl.

The order denying Dan Morrissey’s request was filed Monday in Black Hawk County.

The 36-year-old wanted the trial moved due to pre-trial publicity.

Morrissey faces domestic assault and drug charges from incidents last year.  His trial is currently set for November 13th.

Morrissey is the father of missing Evansdale girl, Lyric Cook.

She and her cousin, Elizabeth Collins haven’t been seen since leaving their grandmother’s house in Evansdale on July 13th.
