The Iowa State softball team now has a new stadium/training facility located on campus. The new stadium is off Mortensen Parkway southwest of Jack Trice Stadium.

The $13 million complex also includes a soccer/track stadium. The cost of the new facility is being paid through ticket revenue, donors, and from Big 12 television revenue. The lead gift of 1$ million came from Bill Bergan, former track coach at ISU.

The old outdoor track and softball stadium were located at the Southwest Athletic complex. The old soccer stadium north of Hilton Coliseum was subject to flooding by Squaw Creek. There is also a building used for lockers, training, and meetings for the track, soccer, and softball teams.

The Cyclone softball team has been playing its fall games in its new home. The final fall games will take place Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. against Indian Hills Community College.
