SUPREME COURT: Rubashkin Appeal Denied
The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to review a 27-year prison term for a former Iowa slaughterhouse CEO.
Sholom Rubashkin was convicted in 2009 on 86 counts of bank fraud and financial misconduct. He was sentenced to 27-years in prison.
The charges were in connection to the largest immigration raid in U.S. history.
Back in May of 2008, ICE agents arrested nearly 400 suspected illegal immigrants at the Agriprocessors meatpacking plant in Postville.
