THREE DEAD: Crash Kills Ottumwa Women
The State Patrol is trying to figure out what caused a crash that killed three Iowa women Saturday.
The crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. on Highway 34 west of Chariton.
Nineteen-year-old Garrett Hollinrake of Knoxville was headed east when the pickup truck he was driving crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle.
Fifty-six-year-old Olga Palencia, 66-year-old Dolores Rodas, and 44-year-old Julieta Mendez-Cruz, all of Ottumwa, were in the vehicle that was hit and were killed in the accident.
The patrol didn’t disclose the injuries to Hollinrake.
