ANIMAL NEGLECT: More Cats Found In Home

Animal rescue workers are still finding more cats in a Sioux City home. 

According to Radio Iowa, over 50 starving or dead cats were found at a Sioux City home Monday evening. 

The owner, 56-year-old Mark Lanning was arrested and charged with 14 counts of animal neglect. 

Authorities say some of the cats are scared to come out of hiding places they’ve found in the furnace and the walls. 

The local shelter says there is so much debris in the home that it’s almost impossible to tell what is debris and what is a decomposed carcass.
