FATAL ACCIDENT: SUV Hits Pedestrian

Des Moines police responded to scene of a fatal car accident involving a pedestrian Thursday night.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of MLK Parkway and Franklin Avenue.

A witness tells us a man stepped into the street in front of a white SUV.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.
