CAMPAIGN EVENT: Jon Bon Jovi Supports Obama

President Barack Obama’s re-election team hasn’t announced any plans for him to return to the state. Instead surrogates will show up in his place.

Friday night rock legend Jon Bon Jovi will try to win over Iowa voters. 

He has a stop in Iowa City Friday afternoon and following that he’ll stop in Des Moines’ Western Gateway Park for an acoustic performance.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and tickets are needed for the event. They are free and available at local Obama campaign offices.  

The stop is an attempt to try to get Iowans to register and vote early.
