STUDENT RECOVERING: Student Making Strides
Kids at a metro high school are showing their support for an injured classmate Friday night.
Fourteen-year-old Matthew Gardner was struck by a car while crossing Harwood Drive in August.
The Roosevelt freshman was sent to Blank Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
Since then, his classmates have been raising money to help Gardner’s family pay his medical bills. They’ve been selling t-shirts and Friday, they’ll wear them to the homecoming game.
Gardner himself hopes to attend.
