DAY TO DAY: CenturyLink Negotiations Continue
A temporary agreement means workers at CenturyLink have avoided a strike — for the time being.
CenturyLink and the union representing 13,000 workers in 13 states, including Iowa, have failed to reach a new contract agreement. The original contract expired at midnight Sunday.
Workers won’t picket because they have signed on to a day-to-day extension, while the union and CenturyLink negotiate.
Part of the negotiations includes a call to raise health care premiums.
