Ankeny Police say they are hoping comments from a teenager shot last month will help close an investigation.

Twelve-year-old Michael Wells was shot while visiting two other teens at an Ankeny home.

Police found wells with a gunshot wound to his head on Saturday, September 29th.

Investigators say they’ve completed all other interviews, but are hoping Wells will be healthy enough to speak with officers about the case, soon.

Right now, no charges are filed in the case.
