ASSAULT CHARGES: UFC Fighter In Polk County Jail

A UFC fighter is back in Iowa and in the Polk County Jail.

Thursday 26-year-old Jeremy Stephens was transported to the Polk County Jail spending a week in a Minnesota jail.

Hennepin County deputies arrested Stephens last Friday on an outstanding warrant from Polk County about an assault at a Des Moines party last year. A spokesman claims Jeremy was not involved in the fight.

He is charged with assault willful injury and assault causing bodily injury.

Bail is set at $100,000.
