SEXUAL ABUSE: Windsor Heights Man Charged

A Windsor Heights man is in jail after police say he had inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Twenty-year-old Steven Arens was arrested Thursday and charged with third degree sexual abuse, which is a class C felony.

Urbandale police made the arrest following an investigation into a claim by a 14-year-old girl that Arens had inappropriate contact with her. Police say Ahrens met the victim during the course of his employment as a lifeguard at a local pool. According to police the alleged assault did not happen at the pool.

Arens is being held in the Polk County Jail on a bond of $10,000.
