BOIL ADVISORY: Fontanelle Water Main Break

Residents of Fontanelle are being warned to boil their water after a water main break.

The town is about 65 miles southwest of Des Moines, in Adair County.

A boil advisory is in place until repairs can be completed and tests of the water shows it is safe to drink. Until then, residents are advised to boil any water used for consumption or cooking for at least 60 seconds and cool before use. Bottled water can also be used.

The water is safe to use for bathing and laundry.
