DAVENPORT CASINO: City Offers To Buy Casino

Davenport is looking to generate revenue by getting into the gambling business.

The City is offering to buy the Rhythm City Casino for $46-million.  Leaders plan to issue bonds to pay for the casino and will vote on the proposal on October 24th.

Private investors have shown little interest in buying the casino, citing profit margins that were too small.
