MURDER CASE: Frederiksen Arraignment Set
An arraignment hearing has been scheduled for the man charged in the murder of five-year-old Evelyn Miller in 2005.
Casey Frederiksen was charged in September with first degree murder and first degree sexual abuse in connection with the child’s death.
Evelyn disappeared from the Floyd apartment her family shared with Frederiksen, who was engaged to her mother Noel Miller at the time, on July 1st, 2005. Her body was found five days later next to the Cedar River. Autopsy results show she died of sharp force injuries to the neck and had been sexually abused.
Frederiksen was serving time in a federal prison in Illinois on child pornography and drug convictions when the new charges were filed.
He was extradited back to Iowa last week. His arraignment is scheduled for November 5th in Floyd County.
