WOMEN LEADERS: Organization Announces New Initiative.

They are mothers and wives, but they also serve as business leaders in our community.

Thursday, female business owners and executives met for the Women’s Leadership Conference.

It’s a chance for them to network and discuss ways of encouraging other women to take a leadership role.

Lieutenant governor Kim Reynolds says the state is trying to get girls into STEM fields.  That stands for Science -Technology- Engineering and Math.

The women’s organization also announced a new initiative called “Ascent.”  It will create a partnership between public-private-and educational institutions to help women move into leadership roles in the future.
