GUARD TEST: UNI Student Grievance

A University of Northern Iowa student says his grade won’t be impacted for missing a test.

James Roether missed the exam on October 19th because of required National Guard duty.

Roethler filed a grievance against his professor after learning he would not be allowed to retake the test.

A hearing to address the grievance took place Monday.

The hearing was held behind closed doors; however Roethler says his grade will not be negatively impacted for missing the test.
