CHILD BITTEN: Police Say Man Bit Stepson

A Davenport, Iowa man is facing a felony child endangerment charge after he reportedly bit his four-year-old stepson.

After the boy’s mother explained his injuries to school officials, those officials reported the boy’s injuries to the Iowa Department of Human Services and to police.

The mother reportedly told police Darby said he bit the boy to teach him to stop biting.

Police investigators said they found two visible bite marks and numerous other injuries on the little boy.

Darby was arrested Tuesday, October 30, 2012. He was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
