With so much attention focused on the presidential race, Iowa's congressional candidates have to work to get their names out. Wednesday, 3rd district Republican candidate Tom Latham spent the third day of his five day, 40 city, tour across the district.

Latham held a luncheon in Winterset to thank about 20 volunteers who have helped sign up supporters and encourage people to vote early. He urged them to make sure they don't wake up the day after the election, wishing they could have done more. Latham said he doesn’t want them thinking, “…If I would have done one more thing, maybe we could have won. You will regret it for a lifetime because this is incredibly serious and I would ask you to do everything possible.”

Latham's opponent, Democratic Congressman Leonard Boswell, has toured the district this week with U.S. Senator Tom Harkin. He visited Atlantic, Shenandoah, Creston, and Indianola. Wednesday Boswell introduced former President Bill Clinton at a rally for President Barack Obama.
