MENINGITIS HEARING: Investigation Into Sickness And Deaths

Iowa Senator Tom Harkin says he’ll convene a hearing to investigate a meningitis outbreak that killed 28 people and sickened nearly 400 others.

The outbreak was traced back to an injectable steroid produced in Massachusetts.

Harkin says the hearing will help gather the facts and determine the steps Congress should take to ensure patient safety in the future.

The hearing is set for November 15th.
