President Barack Obama’s final campaign event before Election Day is being held in Des Moines.
Crews are already setting the stage in the East Village for Obama’s Monday night rally.
Organizers expect thousands of supporters, and one local business owner claims he feels even more energy than four years ago.
“Actually more excitement. Obama’s presence enhances Des Moines, enhances Iowa and hopefully enhances a nation,” says Bob Eikleberry, owner of Blazing Saddles.
The event is free to the public and you don’t need a ticket. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. at east Grand Ave. and East 5th. Obama is expected to speak around 9:30 p.m.
Rock legend Bruce Springsteen and First Lady Michelle Obama will also be at the event.
