EARLY VOTING: Another Record Setting Year

The candidates may have been campaigning in Iowa until the very last minute, but that doesn’t mean Iowan’s were listening.  More than 613,000 ballots were cast before Election Day.

That shatters the record set in 2008 of 545,000 early ballots.

Even Governor Branstad voted early this year, he cast his ballot for Mitt Romney at the Polk County Auditor’s office Monday afternoon.

Absentee ballots had to be postmarked by November 5th, if you missed the deadline you can still vote in person at your polling location. Be sure to bring your absentee ballot with you.
