REMAINS FOUND: Sac City Investigation

Investigators are looking into skeletal remains that were found in a home in northwest Iowa Monday.

The Sac City Police say they were called to 610 North 5^th Street in Sac City Monday around 3:45 p.m. The owner of the home had recently purchased the property and while cleaning in the basement, discovered what appeared to be skeletal remains.

The remains have been sent to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The Sac County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are assisting in the investigation.
