MURPHY’S LAW: Bachman’s Love, Ankeny-SE Polk Feud, Not Luck

Murphy's Law Generic

I can’t believe I’m about to work my final day with John Bachman. Great anchor. Better person.

John likes Erin, Ed, and me, but he LOVES Cubbie.

Does anyone really believe a USC student manager deflated footballs, so they’re easier to pass and catch, without the knowledge of a single Trojan player of coach, say Lane Kiffin? Give me a break.

Is Florida still counting votes? Someone needs to send that state a calculator or maybe even a computer. Florida does know the election is decided, right?

Ankeny and Southeast Polk is the new Valley-Dowling. These teams can’t stand each other, competitively, and I can’t wait to see what happens Friday night. Ankeny won the first meeting, but the Rams have improved more than any team around.

Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d type: Friday night, Lolo Jones will push a bobsled in the world championships.

Andrew Luck is so good as a rookie, he’s made a bad team a year ago a legitimate playoff contender. And Luck can run too.

NBC is showing signs of life, but it won’t give up on Whitney. It should.
