HOUSE FIRE: Des Moines Home Damaged

A weekend house fire in Des Moines left three people without a place to stay.

The fire started after 9:00 Saturday night near east 18th and east walnut.

The homeowner came home and found his house on fire. Instead of calling for help, he ran down to the fire station at the end of the street.

No one was hurt in the fire.

Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
