Visitation services are Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 411 W. Clarinda Avenue in Shenandoah.

Funeral services are being held at 11 a.m. Thursday, also at the Shenandoah Baptist Church.

Gov. Terry Branstad is ordering all flags in the state to be flown at half-staff Thursday to honor Private First Class Buttry.

The order is in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Flags will be at half-staff on all government properties throughout the state but homeowners, businesses and schools are encouraged to fly their flags at half-staff for the same length of time as a sign of respect.
